🆘GOOD BOY RUSSELL HAS ONLY A FEW HOURS TO FIND A HERO TO SAVE HIM from South Central Los Angeles Shelter — He will be euthanized MON AM if not ADOPTED or RESCUED by 4pm Sun 10/13!‼️
We and YOU are his last hope — RUSSEL is BALANCED, fantastic dog that would be a more fantastic family pet, not a victim of shelters euthanizing for space!
Russell #A2146531 arrived at the shelter as a stray in June. He’s been on his best behavior since then. He is consistently described as TOLERANT & GENTLE/DAINTY in playgroups with other large dogs. When in the yard with his volunteer friends, Russell is polite and well behaved. He loves to explore on his own but will happily engage when offered a game of fetch or a yummy treat. Russell will also accept pets from his human friends and stop patiently while you give him a few back scratches. Russell got in one minor scuffle during his last playgroup outing because he didn’t tolerate a correction a dog gave him for mounting. He has since been neutered.
Volunteers are heartbroken that his lovely boy is now ALERTED. The supervisors acknowledged he’s good with people and dogs but state in his alert reason that it’s “inhumane to keep him in the shelter.”
He must be ADOPTED OR RESCUED by END OF DAY SUNDAY 10/13 (shelter closes at 5PM!). He will be euthanized Monday morning 10/14 if not saved. We would love to see Russell find a true home before it’s too late. DM US if you can FOSTER. SHARE so he gets seen.
