Last week, I found myself in tears at the Bakersfield Animal Care Center. After nearly two years of rescuing, this was the first time I felt truly overwhelmed. The shelter is inundated with puppies-so many innocent lives at risk, and nowhere for them to go. 80+ puppies, all under a year old, are facing euthanasia simply because there aren't enough homes or fosters.

This isn't the shelter's fault. They're doing everything they can, but with

30-60 dogs arriving daily and nearly 400 already in their care, they've run out of options.

Our foster program is designed to make fostering as easy as possible. We provide all the supplies, cover medical care, and offer training support to help you prepare these dogs for their forever homes.
