UPDATE:
As the County is still getting away with turning away tax payers who want to adopt, we must do what we can to save the animals who sadly end up in their care. Daily, these poorly managed Los Angeles County animal pounds kill dogs and cats while residents are attempting to get through the gates and adopt these innocent animals waiting for their hero. We must blame Los Angeles County Supervisor Janice Hahn(#HahnTheCon) and her sidekick Marcia Mayeda(#IKillInnocenttAnimalsForALiving) for their weak attempt at reprogramming our community on how we think about their poorly managed kill farms/pounds. Mayeda literally sent out a blog post a few weeks ago asking people to call her poorly run kill farms/pounds a different name. Sorry Marcia, an animal shelter is a facility where you do everything possible to save an animal. Stop pretending. We all think it's pretty pathetic. You too Janice. Get off your lazy butt and make some calls. And Marcia, when you stop turning adopters away from your kill farms/pounds AND when you stop making up lies so you can get away with killing the innocent(and boy oh boy do we have proof), we will think about changing what we call it. It's a sad day in your hell when you have to beg people to stop believing the TRUTH about what you do. You've created KILL FARMS/POUNDS. YOU TRY TO HIDE WHAT YOU ARE DOING WHICH WILL ALWAYS ONLY BRING MORE LIGHT TO THE DARKNESS YOU SPREAD. THANK GOD FOR LOS ANGELES COUNTY ANIMAL RESCUES AND NETWORKERS AND VOLUNTEERS. YOU ARE THE HEROES WHO SHOULD BE DIVIDING MARCIA AND JANICE HAHN'S PAYCHECK.

SINCERELY AND WITH EVERY FIBER OF MY BEING,
THEODORE TRENTMAN
PROUD WHITTIER RESIDENT WITH THE SOLE AIM OF RE-OPENING OUR SHELTERS WHICH YOU'VE TURNED INTO KILL POUNDS/FARMS

Max waits. And waits. Sadly the end he’s hoping for may not come. I have tried. This is my fifth post for Max and he is well past his 72 hours. I’ve begged and pleaded. To no avail.

I tell you, it’s a crime…. What we do to these animals. Max is a puppy. Initially when he came to the shelter he was very scared. Then he had his assessment, and he was gobbling up his food. Maybe he was hungry. AC tried to take the food bowl away and he bit the “fake hand“ and so now he has a rescue only label. No rescue has come. Maybe no Rescue will come. And Max will go to sleep forever.

A savvy foster offer for this Pup might help. He is out of time.
