Dear L.A. County and City Animal Pound Staff:
It's your community here. We know L.A. County and L.A. City Animal Pound Executives have placed you a very difficult position. Just know the community supports all your hard work. We understand your bosses have placed you between a rock and a hard place. Please understand animal neglect is a felony. If you are witnessing any mistreatment of animals or if healthy animals are being killed because you are running out of space, please contact me at 213-948-3165. We need as much evidence as possible if we are to REOPEN the animal pounds. We will keep your identity confidential. If you want to drop me a hint about what you are experiencing at your pound, please email me at TheodoreTrentman@gmail.com (.) Several individuals have been reaching out to me so don't worry about being the first one to reach out.
Do NOT believe the lie that our Animal Pounds are open. Today, I sat outside Downey Animal Care and Control between 2PM and 3PM. This is suppose to be the busiest time of the entire week. The 2PM appointment adopted the dog they came to see. They were wrapping things up with that customer at about 2:30 P.M. Meanwhile, six families were turned away because they did not have appointments. They were told to go home and schedule an appointment to see one animal of their choice. Meanwhile, you could hear all the dogs and cats in the background crying for help.
We need your help if we are ever get back to normal. We need you to be a hero RIGHT NOW.
Warmly,
Theodore Trentman
