Kung Fu Panda 4 disappointed many fans — but there is still potential to improve.
As longtime fans of the Kung Fu Panda franchise, we have always admired its powerful messages about acceptance, inner peace, and self-discovery. These elements helped create a strong emotional connection with audiences worldwide.
However, the fourth film moved away from these core values. Instead of delivering a meaningful continuation, it focused too much on humor while neglecting the story and character development that made the franchise special.
Beloved characters such as Po, Master Shifu, and the Furious Five were not given the attention and development they deserved. Emotional depth, character growth, and a truly compelling conflict were missing.
In addition, the antagonist lacked the complexity and impact of previous villains like Lord Shen, Tai Lung and General Kai. Without a strong villain and a well-constructed story, the film loses part of the identity that made the franchise beloved.
Another point fans question is the rapid passing of the Dragon Warrior title, which was not properly developed to feel natural or emotionally earned.
This is not just criticism — it is a call for improvement.
We are seeing more and more fans speaking out about the quality of major franchises. Audiences care deeply about these stories and want to see their legacy respected. Kung Fu Panda deserves the same level of care and dedication.
We respectfully ask DreamWorks Animation to revisit this chapter — whether through an improved version, additional content, or future projects that better honor the characters and story.

Our Requests:
1. Give proper focus and development to Po, Master Shifu, the Furious Five, and main characters.
2. Improve story depth and the antagonist.
3. Expand the narrative if necessary (even if it requires multiple parts).
4. Better utilize past masters and villains already introduced in the franchise.
5. If a revised version is considered, follow an approach similar to a “director’s cut”: use existing material, add deleted scenes, and restructure the story to highlight the Furious Five without reducing Po’s importance.
This franchise has inspired millions of fans worldwide. It deserves a story worthy of its legacy.
