Richard Reeve a reporter for KSTP (kstp.com) played fake gunshot sounds on his phone to report false information regarding the violence present at Black Lives Matter protests. The implication that protestors were violent and armed portrays a false narrative of events and is an injustice to the peaceful protestors. The inaccurate depiction of events is an incitement of violence to discredit the people wanting justice for George Floyd.

Richard Reeve should be fired for falsifying a report and for his lack of integrity to uphold factual reporting. Escalating situations for the benefit of a news story is immoral and KSTP should find the actions of their reporter to be intolerable. So far, KSTP has not addressed Reeves' actions. KSTP needs to condemn the actions of Reeves, or the entire KSTP network needs to be condemned for the alliance of these anti-black actions. 

With enough awareness, together we can preserve the integrity of the BLM protests. The BLM movement is committed to "struggling together and to imagining and creating a world free of anti-Blackness, where every Black person has the social, economic, and political power to thrive". Actions, like the actions taken by Richard Reeves, are anti-black and was done to demoralize the people fighting for justice.
