Please help stop the destruction of Fox River Bluff East Forest Preserve.  This beautiful stretch of woods is enjoyed as sanctuary for both residents and local wildlife.  My young sons hike these woods everyday in fair weather, they care for and clean up after those less thoughtful.  This forest gives them and our entire community a connection to nature, and an outlet for exercise and exploration.  Kane County board member John Hoscheit, and K.C. Forest Preserve President Michael Kenyon have approved St Charles Row Club to remove trees, pave a road and parking lot, run plumbing and electrical, erect a facility and encourage traffic and tourism on this preserve within a quiet neighborhood.  This agreement was signed in November of 2014 and local residents were NOT notified prior to the agreement.  Tell them NO ROAD!  Tell them NO TOURISTS! Tell them NO DEFORESTATION! TELL THEM NO ROW CLUB!! NOT HERE.
Please sign and tell Kane County that this agreement with St Charles Row Club violates THEIR mission and goal of the Forest Preserve District to acquire, hold and maintain lands within Kane County that contribute to the preservation of natural and historic resources, habitats, flora and fauna; and to restore, restock, protect and preserve such lands for the education, recreation and pleasure of ALL its citizens. The row club will shut down this public preserve for their private events. This is privatization of Forest Preserve property.  SCRC this preserve is NOT conducive to your needs, PLEASE locate else where!
