As you all probably read in the New York Times, Associated Press, and other top media outlets, we won. Finally, Kraft Foods listened to consumers and has announced that they will remove artificial yellow dyes from all their Macaroni & Cheese products by 2016. It took two years of activism and the voice from all 365,000 of you who signed this Change.org petition to make this one of the biggest food petitions in history! Kraft’s decision to dump artificial dyes from iconic Macaroni and Cheese is a huge win for families and individuals across the United States and Canada who will be able to buy the same dye-free version that European families have had for years. This victory is a turning point in our fight against controversial food dyes and additives in our foods, and let’s hope Kraft continues to remove artificial food dyes from their other products like JELL-O and Kool Aid. There's another very important petition that could use your help too - ask Kraft to stop using meat from animals fed antibiotics at change.org/lunchables.
