During the ongoing uprising in Sudan, two university students lost part of their hands while attempting to pick one gas tear can and throw it back to the security forces, their medical condition is serious and will undergo a medical surgery soon. Indeed, the official website of the Korea Defense Industry Co., Ltd lists Sudan as one of its customers.   

 Sudanese people are currently on streets demanding for overthrowing the government as a result of years of corruption eventually contributing to an economic crisis, extremely harsh living conditions and lack of freedom of expression. Sudanese security forces used lethal force and gas tears to stop the peaceful demonstrations, many have been killed and and detained.

 Omar El-bashir who came to power through a military coup and remained for  almost 30 years as a president, is the only living president wanted by the International Criminal Court (ICC) for his involvement in a genocide and crimes against humanity in Darfur.
