After years of seemingly baseless rumors and reports, it seems that we’ve almost won. Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is seeing a remake available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, as just announced today. Additionally, a collection featuring the first three games in the series is coming to PlayStation 5. 

This is a TREMENDOUS step forward in making the Metal Gear saga more accessible to players. A big thanks to everyone who signed this petition and campaigned for our call to action. I would also like to extend the thanks to Konami for making it happen after so long.

However, it’s not over yet. I’m not ready to declare victory on our petition until we know for sure more of the series is being ported. At the very least, I’d like to see Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns Of The Patriots on a non-Sony platform before I call it quits. But until then, consider this a small victory. Over and out.
