A barrage of Silent Hill titles was just announced by Konami and some developers working with them! This includes a ground-up remake of Silent Hill 2, a movie, and an online experience called Silent Hill Ascension. There is a bit of overlap with that fanbase and that of Metal Gear, so I imagine some supporters of our cause are pretty excited! If you're a fan in that intersection, celebrate the victory you had today. 

However, even if it sounds like slippery slope thinking, I feel this may be a single domino at the start of something big. Evident by Konami's announcements today, as well as the announcements of Super Bomberman R 2 and Suikoden I & II HD Remaster, it's clear that they still have some interest in developing and publishing video games. Perhaps soon, we could see something from the Metal Gear series. While nothing points directly at this right now, it's still a possibility. One day, we could very well see multiple projects revealed through a livestream like the one today, called the Metal Gear Debriefing.
