Liebe Unterstützer*innen,
zuallererst möchten wir, die Eltern und Kinder von der Kita Lillebror, uns ganz herzlich für Eure anhaltende Unterstützung bedanken! Wir haben viel neues zu erzählen. Aber zuerst: Wir sind überwältigt, dass so viele von der Geschichte der Räumung unseres Kindergartens inspiriert und berührt sind, und von eurer Bereitschaft zu helfen.
In den letzten Wochen haben einige Berliner Printmedien über unsere Situation berichtet.
'Mietvertrag gekündigt' - im Tagesspiegel, ‘Montessori vertreibt Deutsch-skandinavische Kita’ in der BZ, und 'Kita Lillebror muss ausziehen- für eine neue Kita’ in der Morgenpost. Ein großes Dankeschön an die Journalist:innen, die uns geholfen haben, auf unsere Situation aufmerksam zu machen. Das Ergebnis zeigte sich deutlich: mehr Unterschriften! Bis zum Stand heute sind über 1800 Unterschriften zusammengekommen! Ihr findet diese Links auf unserer Facebook-Seite und unserem Instagram-Account, den ihr gerne folgen könnt.
Die Kommentare auf unserer Petitionsseite sind äußerst wertvoll: so viele freundliche Worte der Unterstützung, wir sind so dankbar! Das gibt uns die Kraft weiterzumachen. Diese Kommentare liefern auch interessante Informationen: Jemand meldete sich und machte uns auf einen ähnlichen Fall mit einer anderen Kita unter der Trägerschaft der Montessori Stiftung Berlin aufmerksam. Wenn du das hier liest, melde dich bitte bei uns! Wir würden gerne mehr darüber erfahren!
Wir versuchen weiterhin direkt mit der Stiftung zu kommunizieren. Einige unserer anfänglichen Fragen wurden nach einer Verzögerung von 3,5 Wochen in einer E-Mail beantwortet und bisher wurde eine Bitte zu einem persönlichen Gespräch höflich abgelehnt. Die Antworten auf unsere Fragen bleiben vage und unverbindlich.
Es wird deutlich, dass bisher kein Konzept für die neue Kita erarbeitet wurde. Die Montessori Stiftung Berlin bittet hier auf ihrer Webseite um Mithilfe durch die Elternschaft - dies ohne je auf uns aktiv zugegangen zu sein. Wie kann man behaupten, dass das Konzept innovativer und am Kind orientierter ist, wenn es noch nicht steht und erst mit Eltern konzipiert werden muss?
Wie all dies binnen 9 Monaten erarbeitet und aufgestellt werden soll, bleibt rätselhaft. Die Planungszeit ist unserer Meinung nach viel zu kurz. Dies führt zu der Frage, warum sie eine Kündigungsfrist von 12 Monaten setzen, obwohl sie noch kein konkretes Konzept haben? Wir sehen hier die Gefahr, dass die Montessori Stiftung Berlin kein volles Betreuungsangebot ab dem 1. August 2024 anbieten kann.
Wir halten fest: Es gibt hier eine seit Jahren sehr gut aufgestellte und hervorragend arbeitende Kita!
Dies alles schürt kein Vertrauen in die MSB und trägt nur zu großer Unsicherheit in unseren Familien und insbesondere unseren Kindern bei. Denn diese werden sicher Freunde, wertgeschätzte Pädagog:innen und/oder einen vertrauten Ort verlieren! Unsere Kinder sind die Leidtragenden dieser Übernahme! Vor allem, und im Gegensatz zu dem, was auf der Website der MSB und in der Presse veröffentlicht wurde, haben wir keinen genauen Einblick in Pläne und keine Bestätigung, dass unsere Kinder einen Platz in ihrem neuen Kindergarten bekommen werden. Das ist äußerst beunruhigend.
Zudem wurde der Kita mit fristloser Kündigung gedroht, wenn wir ein von uns aufgehangenes Banner am Zaun der Kita nicht binnen 24 Std. wieder entfernen. Sie brauchen also 3,5 Wochen, um mit einem vagen und unverbindlichen Versprechen zu antworten, aber nur 3 Stunden, um über einen Anwalt auf den Banner zu reagieren, auf dem stand: ''Kita Lillebror bleibt! Mietvertrag plötzlich gekündigt.'' Lies mehr darüber in unseren Instagram und Facebook.
Wir dürfen also nicht nachlassen. Bei so viel Ungewissheit können wir nur weiter fordern, dass unsere Kita Lillebror bleibt!

Dear supporters,
First of all, we, the parents and children of Kita Lillebror, would like to thank you very much for your continued support! We are overwhelmed that so many are inspired and touched by the story of the eviction of our kindergarten and by your willingness to help.
In recent weeks, several Berlin print media outlets have reported on our situation.
'Lease terminated' - in the Tagesspiegel, 'Montessori evicts German-Scandinavian Kita' in the BZ, and 'Kita Lillebror must move out- for a new Kita' in the Morgenpost. A big thank you to the journalists who helped us to draw attention to our situation. The result was clear: more signatures! As of today, over 1800 signatures have been collected! The comments on our petition page are extremely valuable: so many kind words of support, we are so grateful! It gives us the strength to continue. These comments also provide interesting information: Someone came forward and brought to our attention a similar case with another daycare under the sponsorship of the Montessori Foundation Berlin. If you read this, please contact us! We would love to hear more about it!
We continue to try to communicate directly with the Foundation. Some of our initial questions were answered in an email after a delay of 3.5 weeks, and so far a request for a personal meeting has been politely declined. The answers to our questions remain vague and non-binding.
It becomes clear that no concept for the new Kita has been developed so far. The Montessori Foundation Berlin asks here on its website for assistance by the parents - this without ever having approached us actively. How can one claim that the concept is more innovative and child-oriented if it is not yet in place and must first be conceived with parents?
How all this is to be worked out and set up within 9 months remains a mystery. In our opinion, the planning time is far too short. This leads to the question, why do they set a notice period of 12 months, although they do not yet have a concrete concept? We see the danger here that the Montessori Foundation Berlin will not be able to offer a full range of care from August 1, 2024.
We maintain: There is a Kita here that has been very well established and working very well for years!
All this does not inspire confidence in the MSB (Montessori Foundation Berlin) and only contributes to increasing feelings of uncertainty in our families and especially our children. For they will certainly lose friends, valued pedagogues and a familiar place! Our children are the ones who will suffer from this takeover! Most importantly, and contrary to what has been posted on the MSB website and in the press, we have no accurate insight into plans and no confirmation that our children will have a place in their new kindergarten. This is extremely troubling.
In addition, the Kita has been threatened with immediate termination if we do not remove a banner we hung on the Kita's fence within 24 hrs. So they need 3.5 weeks to respond with a vague and non-binding promise, but only 3 hours to respond via a lawyer to the banner that said: ''Kita Lillebror bleibt! Lease suddenly terminated.'' So we can't let our guard down. With so much uncertainty, we can only continue to demand that our Kita Lillebror stays!
