Dalton was never called "Waterloo" on old maps. Its a modern tarn
Tate modern. The pinnacle of art, interpretation and meaning in the modern world.. and its most notorious exhibit is the graffiti toilet, loo, lavatory.
Meaning and interpretation are everything to these people.. the affluent. Royalist circles. The money involved and points made. So its actually not just something and nothing to them.
Therefore the serious and highly important heritage site and history of the Brigantes and West Yorkshire pre conquest people and the spoiling of it with it being ruined, ignored and ridiculed is nothing to overlook.
Dalton, is clearly the main and only name for its area in the old maps.. none of them mention a Waterloo. We have Dives house, which is the name of a local family. "Dives" but the only relationship to water the site has is the stream that runs past the site and the fact that in ancient prehistory it actually was a river and flood plain ... But not a toilet. Not a "loo"
It was only following the Chas P Hobkirk book that drew attention to the area, and the tram station and cinema and pub that bore these names and identity. Therefore the name "Waterloo" was created for the area and not that long ago. Also named after a famous battle and conflict... Which you could interpret as a gesture also to the Civil war and Cavalier/Roundhead conflict and later.. Tory / Liberals
I believe that this site and it being spoiled IS a big deal. A really big deal. To the Government Royalists and making a great place literally into the name of a toilet.
This is their game and sport.
Therefore i also draw attention now to one of their other proud art assets.. the tate modern. I knew of this exhibit because we learned about it at art college. We were not taught about the pride, strength or history of our local area and heritage. Instead we are told about the tate modern. So everyone knows about it.
The toilet. A loo. On display. Spoiled and graffiti covered.
It is no coincidence in my opinion that the external shape of that design was selected by that party for its likeness to the shape of the Warrior Tomb hill. The shape matches and the meaning of a loo or toilet also fits.
Therefore i am calling them out on this one as well as further insult to this site in a big way and this is example of how meaning is so important to them. Everything they do means something and that i believe is to belittle and rubbish their opposition and ridicule them. Not just defeat them but make very bold additional victory statements. I think the other name to note in the toilet world is victoria plumb.
Actually i designed a toilet that doesnt need toilet paper and. Is pro sexual health. They didnt design it. Its my idea so that would have really annoyed them even more as it annihilates their entire design and wastage.
