The Stone has been painted as the Cock growing stone for over 20 years. and sits where the Liberty caps grow.
Not only anti-heritage but to those hikers, Walkers & academics it must be quite intimidating & off Putting.
Was it some delinquents who made this creation? or a Royal agent intent on belittling the area?
Here we find more danger.. this time clearly from Kirklees council.. where in the Fog, Rain & snow clear signage is critical coming down the dangerous road from West Nab... neglect is unfortunately carelessness possibly even intent.
Faded rings are not enforceable (so the law says) but you will be lucky to get the council powers to acknowledge that call. ( & with the police authority even less) Yet Fog & rain, Snow are common here, Ice dangerous
