Outside the court, when people scream support for their “daddy”, “Papa” or “Major One”, these scenes lead many South Africans to ask questions about Bushiri’s supporters. Are they part of a cult? Or merely instruments in the hands of a man who manipulated their vulnerability for his own financial ends? Christian commentators are calling for urgent government intervention to protect poor people duped by the improbable promises made by what they termed as “scam” churches and “fake prophets” like Shepherd Bushiri and Uebert Angel. - Ilana van Wyk

Slammed by many as a “con man” and a “fake prophet” who “loves money and fame”, a number of sources in Malawi say Bushiri’s home country had seen through his “miracles”, which was one of the reasons he left. They said they were shocked when South Africans welcomed him with open arms. They would be shocked if they saw Sri Lankans not object to Bushiri who is a known criminal in Malawi. 'Malawians have seen through his ‘miracles’ and describe him as a con man and a fake who loves money and fame' explains Journalist Ntombizodwa Makhoba of the City Press.

Today, he is not permitted to leave his country as there is overwhelming evidence that Bushiri is a criminal, engaging in financial fraud at the expense of his church. He is Uebert Angel's favourite 'spiritual son'. Jimmy Kimmel exposed Bushiri for faking 'walking on air' and you can see him fake even more here : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ImKpyapx2aA

Prying on gullibility, Shepherd Bushiri has climbed his way up the ladder of smooth, corruption to land himself as Africa’s wealthiest preacher by stealing, borrowing and taking massive amounts of money from his unsuspecting congregants who are made to believe that he is a special 'prophet'.

37 year-old Shepherd Bushiri pries on the gullibility of people and thrives on the promotion that is given to his activities, by Uebert Angel, himself one of the most well-known con-artists in Africa.

Bushiri is a fake prophet. A false prophet. He falsesly prophesied that a bus from Mzuzu University would be involved in a road accident. The bus accident did not happen; neither did the prolonged period of bloodshed and violence he said would grip the country after “two huge clouds clash” in 2011.

During a church service in March 2017, Bushiri announced that he wanted to make members of his church into millionaires. Congregants were then told via email to invest at least R100 000 in cash with him within the next two days and were promised a 50% return within 30 banking days. Those that could not bring cash with them to the church were sent banking details of a company, Rising Estates, the directors of which are Bushiri lieutenants, Willah Mudolo, Duncan Oduor Otieno and Kit Ching Catherine Kum. Almost two years later, the people who gave Bushiri money are yet to have received anything back.

Hong Kong dress dealer Darlington Manyawu, is well acquainted with Bushiri's rogue ways. He sold Bushiri clothing to the value of R450000 but to date Bushiri never made payment for them despite being seen wearing the clothes at public church gatherings.

Millionaire South African preacher Shepherd Bushiri has been charged through the years, of resorting to the lowest of lows in order to deceive his people and build his own empire. He was found to have tricked believers out of £120 million and was caught having spirited cases full of cash out of South Africa in one our of his four luxuriously expensive private jets.

On 1 February 2019, authorities arrested Bushiri along with his wife. South Africa's Directorate for Priority Investigations (HAWKS) declared that the couple were wanted for fraud and money laundering. The Hawks said Shepherd and his wife had also committed offences related to the contravention of South Africa's Prevention of Organised Crime Act and rogue dealings amounting to a foreign currency of no less than $1147200.

In November 2019 application was made by the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) for the forfeiture of a Gulfstream aircraft owned by Bushiri and hangared at Lanseria airport, north of Johannesburg, which had been procured with funds illegally obtained.

A close aide of Bushiri, who returned to Malawi, said “I have spent more time with him to know what is fake or not. Bushiri made me do things I never thought I would do in my entire life. I once told him that one day he would get arrested for what he is doing. The day I expose where he gets his money from, I am going to be killed. I couldn’t do what he does, such as telling people about themselves and prophesying about the future. He was so convincing – until I was exposed to the ungodly things he was doing behind the pulpit,” he said.

Bushiri’s powerful intelligence team, stations itself among his ushers in the church, who gather information on his congregants for him to use. A local Malawian journalist find out that Bushiri uses information from when people unknowingly reveal their details to the ushers during interviews they undertake prior to entering Bushiri’s church. “These people are assigned where to sit and it is said that this information is passed on to Bushiri.”

Bushiri charged up to R25000 for a seat at his table at a gala dinner held on 23 December 2017 and N$1000 for entry to a dinner held in January 2016. On a regular Sunday, about 40,000 people will gather to be sold  "miracle oil", calendars and wrist bands, branded towels, T-shirts and caps, all emblazoned with Bushiri's face. Bushiri stated he was head of a made up organisation called AFFRICI, which investigators say, 'There is no such organisation. That is just a lie to sell the brand of the prophet.'

Bushiri calls himself 'His Excellency. Dr Shepherd Bushiri'. He uses the titles "CDKA|CDSE|OMS|PHD|" to mask the fact that Bushiri is a fraud, a liar, a rogue, a deceiver, a criminal, a fake, a crook and a con-artist. Under Uebert Angel's commands, Jerome Fernando has now dangerously allied himself with Bushiri. If Fernando was honest, clean, God-fearing and true he would run away from such men and protect his ministry and flock from such predators as Angel and Bushiri. However Jerome Fernando is on a mission, to amass wealth and a name for himself, whilst preaching heresy and presenting himself as a cult leader not to be questioned.

Shepherd Bushiri now has influence over KRC. Depart from KRC and encourage others to do the same.

“The problem with South Africans is that they love money and believe in miracles. Bushiri takes advantage of that weakness and that’s how he won South Africans’ hearts” said a Malawian journalist.

Jerome Fernando, Shepherd Bushiri and Uebert Angel need to know that Sri Lankan Christians are different and will not stand for this deception in the name of the Lord.

The devious tricks, blatant lies and cheap gimmicks will soon be utilized by Jerome Fernando himself. And the innocent families of Kings Revival Church will be its victims.

Do not encourage this dictator. Please sign the Petition at : https://www.change.org/p/kings-revival-church-a-dangerous-place-for-christians and urge all loved ones and friends to depart out of Kings Revival Church immediately. Demand that Jerome Fernando parts ways with Uebert Angel and Shepherd Bushiri who are international frauds.
