Sadly the council voted last night against our call to scrap the proposal. We presented this online and handwritten petition of 841 supporters. I would like to thank you al for your support. Please do not forget to vote on the 7th of May. And if I may ask people from Kimberley to be aware that the following councillors voted against our call to save the chapel Andy Cooper, Sue Cooper, Christine Brown, Jim McDonald, Susan Page and Jeff Dickman. Karen Tenant voted to consider amendments; Jim Dymond and Ian Wilson to defer; and I to scrap the plans. Although we have not succeeded to get it scrapped; we have still awaiting for the listed status application outcome; and we have managed to delay any development. Hopefully the delay is enough to protect the chapel until the elections; if the community votes for councillors who want to protect this building.
