I have an american (her parents are Japanese) volunteer to Fill a Letter of Protest.
I will update you once the letter is ready.
I also need your help to contact the press to tell that this petition is still going on because the registrations are on going.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am also sharing you the information she shared me.
Kim Kardashian can use any name she wants without trademark approval.
Here is a statement from the USPTO website:
"In the United States, parties are NOT REQUIRED to register their marks to obtain protectable rights."
A registered trademark just means you have more protection in court but trademark registration itself is not required.
This means Kim can still legally able to use kimono name for the rest of her products listed in the applications (retail store, bags, pajamas, etc).
She has done this before :
She started a makeup company without trademark approval - and was sued. In 2013 the Kardashian sisters tried to launch their makeup line under “Khroma Beauty”. Their applications were rejected because of confusion with 2 other similar sounding and spelled names BUT THEY WENT AHEAD WITH THEIR MAKEUP LINE. They were sued and they lost. The Kardashians were forced to change the name of their business.
She can do this again with the Kimono name even if the trademark application is not approved.
She does NOT need to have her application approved to move forward with her plans. An official trademark only protects her in legal battles. So even if we request that she abandons her applications, she knows she does not need to register for a trademark to use kimono name.
Fortunately, most of her kimono applications had been continuously rejected since April 2018.
Anyway, the kimono applications were rejected for the same reason as Khroma Beauty applications.
“- 2(d) Refusal for Likelihood of Confusion as to RNs 3947270 (Kimono Rose) and 5234477 (Komono)”

“Solutionwear” - filed for trademark April 2019, is successfully progressing through the approval stages.
