Calling all Quebecers! The Ministère de l’Agriculture, des Pêcheries et de l’Alimentation du Québec (MAPAQ) recently published draft animal welfare regulations and will be holding public consultations on these regulations until February 22, 2019. Unfortunately the draft regulations do not include any measure to regulate the commercial of animals on classified sites in Quebec.
We have until February 22, 2019 to convince the government to regulate the commercial sale of animals on classified sites in Quebec, a measure that would truly improve animal welfare in Quebec.
I need your help ! Please send an email to Mrs. Christine Barthe at the MAPAQ. You can copy the following text or write one in your own words:

Dear Mrs. Barthe,
As a citizen concerned about animal welfare, I welcome your department's initiative to develop an animal welfare regulation that takes into account the concerns of the public. I am, however, disappointed that this project does not include any measures to regulate the commercial sale of animals on classified sites.
Please accept, madam, my sincere gratitude for the attention you are paying to the comments of those who are asking for the respect of animals.
