Update - Petition received by SDC and referred to Kent Highways for feasibility report

On 17 March 2026 Sevenoaks District Council’s Joint Transportation Board determined that the petition for a pedestrian crossing at Bessels Green was valid.  Kent Highways have been asked to prepare a report on the feasibility of a pedestrian crossing.  The JTB will review this report at their next meeting in June 2026.

The Bessels Green Crossing Team attended the meeting, prepared a statement and spoke in support of the petition.  Kent County Councillor, Nigel Williams has sponsored the petition.
