Dear supporters,

Apologies we have not updated in a while. We just wanted to post an update celebrating the late World Orangutan Day 2025 (August 19th) as well as to share an exciting upcoming event.

Orangutans face an uncertain future: all species have been classified as Critically Endangered by the IUCN Red List, due to a number of reasons including deforestation, palm oil plantations and illegal hunting to name a few. These threats destroy the lives of countless orangutans across Borneo and Sumatra, leading to a 55% population decrease from previous years.  Donating  to one of the amazing charities below will make lasting change in the protection of this species:

We hope you will join us in the fight to protect this beautiful species, in ways such as donating, raising awareness and learning more about them.

Finally we also wanted to inform you about The Charter for Compassion’s upcoming Global Youth Conference 2025: Compassionate Leadership for Action & Impact, which will take place virtually from October 28–30 this year. Last year we loved presenting and attending sessions throughout the conference, and found it to be a great opportunity to connect with other change makers and gain insight on different issues through attending sessions.

You can register and find more information about the conference here, and apply to lead a conference using this link

Best wishes,
Jia and Asha
