The Issue

As parents, we trust that the food we give our children is safe and nutritious.

Yet, many of Kellogg’s popular kids’ cereals, like Froot Loops and Apple Jacks, are loaded with excessive sugar and harmful additives.

A recent study published in JAMA Network Open found that cereals marketed to children have become less healthy over the past decade, with increases in sugar, fat, and sodium, and decreases in protein and fiber.

Kellogg’s has been particularly called out for having excessive amounts of sugar in it's top cereals.

Additionally, investigations have revealed that some of these cereals contain artificial dyes and preservatives linked to health issues.

Kellogg’s has a responsibility to prioritize the health of its youngest consumers.

We urge the company to reduce added sugars in all children’s cereals to align with health guidelines - but especially in:

Fruit Loops, Corn Pops, Apple Jacks,
Frosted Mini-Wheats, Just Right Original,
Krave Chocolate and Cocoa Krispies.

Kellogg’s, it’s time to put children’s health first. Reformulate your kids’ cereals now.
