On Monday, an exciting new campaign will launch to make Proportional Representation into Labour Party policy by the next party conference in 2021. Labour for a New Democracy will co-ordinate the work of almost every different campaigning organisation for PR under one banner, creating the strongest push for change to our FPTP system to date.

The official launch will take place over Zoom, and will feature former New Zealand PM Helen Clark and Tessa Milligan from Open Labour, alongside Labour MPs Clive Lewis, Debbie Abrahams and Alex Sobel.

The event will look at how we can learn from New Zealand’s experience to create a better democracy here in the UK and will set out the strategy for the coming year, with breakout sessions to give Labour members the tools to get Labour decisively behind fair votes.

This event is open to all Labour Party members, who are in a unique position to change our electoral system. If you can't make the live launch at 10am, sign up anyway to receive a video recording and next steps.
