Il Gran Premio di Imola è un’icona della Formula 1, una pista storica ricca di passione. Perderlo significherebbe non tornare più nel luogo dove ci ha lasciati Ayrton Senna e Roland Ratzenberger, nel Gran Premio di casa di Kimi Antonelli, della Ferrari e della Racing Bulls, del circuito intitolato a Enzo Ferrari, di una delle piste più belle al mondo.

Ma non solo: sarebbe un danno sia per l'Italia, che vedrebbe perso un indotto ad oggi di circa 300 milioni di euro l'anno, sia per la Formula 1 stessa, la quale perderebbe una colonna portante della sua storia.

Inoltre, le premesse erano chiare: il Gran Premio rinviato nel 2023 si sarebbe recuperato nel 2026. Ad oggi, però, la F1 sembra aver ritrattato e dimenticato le proprie promesse, voltando le spalle ad una popolazione alluvionata che ha perso la casa, il lavoro o un proprio familiare. In aggiunta a ciò ci sono i grossi sforzi fatti dal Comune e dalla Regione, i quali hanno trasformato un vecchio Autodromo in un simbolo di tecnologia e avanguardia.

Comprendiamo le esigenze della Formula 1, ma un tracciato così pieno di storia e passione come Imola non può essere messo in disparte.

Queste sono solo alcune delle dichiarazioni a favore di un Gran Premio che, se perso, danneggerebbe l'intero ecosistema Formula 1.

The Imola Grand Prix is an icon of Formula 1 — a historic track full of passion. Losing it would mean never returning to the place where Ayrton Senna and Roland Ratzenberger lost their lives; to the home Grand Prix of Kimi Antonelli, Ferrari, and Racing Bulls; to the circuit named after Enzo Ferrari; and to one of the most beautiful racetracks in the world.

But it’s not just about heritage and emotion: it would also be a loss for Italy, which currently benefits from an estimated economic impact of over €300 million per year, and for Formula 1 itself, which would be letting go of one of the pillars of its history.

Additionally, there were clear expectations: the 2023 Grand Prix, cancelled due to flooding, was supposed to be rescheduled in 2026. Yet today, F1 seems to have gone back on its promise — turning its back on a region devastated by natural disaster, where people lost their homes, their jobs, and even their loved ones. This, despite the massive efforts made by the City and the Region to transform the old circuit into a symbol of technology and innovation.

We understand the needs of modern Formula 1, but a track so full of history and passion like Imola cannot be left behind.
