Dear Residents & Businesses
Thanks to your support on our Yew Tree Road Parking Petition. The coalition leader of the Tunbridge Wells Borough Council have agreed to a public consultation before approving the decision to REMOVE 2 HOURS FREE PARKING.

I have completed the survey and my answers were as:
On the consultation for the questions on how should the £76k be covered if not from parking hikes I answered
"Cut the size of the expanded Cabinet under the Borough Partnership to reduce Cabinet expense allowances. Add back in the district business rates forecast for financial year March 2023 and above trend car parking revenue seen in the first half of 2022."
On any other comments I answered
"It should have gone to consultation first and the Council should be waiting until next year to see how revenues recover post pandemic given all the above forecast revenue seen in the first half of 2022 "
With kind regards
Yours sincerely
Nasir Jamil
