My Dear Residents,

How amazing! your petition which you signed it has reached now to a magic number 1000 !!!  Well done to you all, it is your campaign and you done very well .

What is next ?
I will explain you in short how the decisions are made in the council.
Step 1 :
A committee in the council called Cabinet Advisory Board or in short CAB they advise any proposal to the cabinet which makes a final decision.
What is cabinet? The cabinet is normally consists of 6 Councillors however current cabinet has 8 councillors from three parties (4 Lib-Dem, 2 Labour & 2 Alliance) .

Unfortunately the CAB in Step 1 has already proposed the parking charges Tuesday last week.

Step 2 :
Now the cabinet will make a final decision. The next cabinet meeting is on Wed 20th July at Sandhurst - HERE WE ARE FIGHTING FOR
I WILL SPEAK AT THAT MEETING ON BEHALF OF YOU AND SHOW YOUR PETITION AND CONVINCE THEM TO TURN DOWN CAB PROPOSAL.
if they turn down the proposal we have a victory if not then unfortunately it will go to full council meeting .

Step 3:
The cabinet decision then will be debated in the full council meeting and then voted and if majority is in favour then it will be implemented . WE WILL ALSO FIGHT THERE.

As your petition has more than 1000 signature it must be now debated in the full council if it was approved in step 2 above.

Sorry for the long email but it was necessary to give you the whole picture where we are at this petition.
