Counting today, we are One week before the big meeting at Dr. Morris Gibson. Are you ready to fight for our kids and our school?! I hope so!

I have a new parent helping me out, Naomi Davis. She has a lot of ideas and energy. She is hoping to get an idea on how many people are going to the meeting on Thursday. And maybe get a few passionate people to say a few words at the meeting. If this interests you, email me here or message us on Facebook. We are planning to have quick meeting to get organized.

Also Naomi is planning on making a mass email blitz which you would copy, sign and send. This will be going to the Board Trustee's, Foothills School Division, Principals and Vice-Principals, Minister of Education and media. Just another push! I'll update tomorrow with the link.

There will be a small article being posted in the Western Wheel next Wednesday. It was a surprise interview. So be easy on me as I wasn't prepared. I most likely forgot something or said the wrong thing in my 'deer in the headlights' interview. I would like to point out that they were looking for me because of the noise we are making with this petition. A lot of people are talking about it. Let's keep it going!

 If you have some time after school today (Friday, Jan 18), the Western Wheel wants to take a picture of Naomi and myself for the article next week. We would love to have a bunch of parents and their kids in there too. We will be in front of Westmount at 3:45pm. Come join in. :)

 I, again, want to thank everyone taking the time to sign this little petition and spreading the word. The Foothills School Division are getting a lot of emails and every time someone signs, they get a new email. 174 emails so far! Whoo hoo! Keep talking and sharing. Let's make that 200 by Thursday!

So just to remind you, there is a Westmount Parent Council meeting on Wednesday, Jan 23 at 6:30pm in the Learning Commons (library) at Westmount School.

The School Boundaries meeting on Thursday Jan 24 at Dr. Morris Gibson for 6:45pm.

Another quick note, I just want to let you know that I may be sending a few more emails this upcoming week. Hopefully then wrap it up and give an update on Friday. I will keep this open until the Boards decision in March.
