This petition emerges from Veteran experiences that are now intolerable. Alarming reports suggest that under the watch of Walt C. Dannenberg and Michael W. Harper, the Hampton Veteran Affairs Medical Center has taken a shocking dive into chaos, with claims alleging that unethical and ruthless employees have been running amok. These unchecked individuals continuously engage in harmful behaviors, making Veterans lives miserable.

Even more shocking are the reports of veterans being indiscriminately targeted by Dannenberg and Harper’s administration, allegedly weaponizing police against those who report concerns. Veterans face threats of involuntary psychiatric evaluations, a heinous abuse of power that deserves nothing less than severe punishment. Yet, this system meant to protect our brave service members instead tolerates, if not encourages, such tyrannical behavior.

In a deeply chilling twist, reports also imply that false claims from doctors are being allowed to perpetuate within the system causing additional harm. Our veterans, who should receive thorough investigations before any conclusions are drawn about their situation, are instead being incorrectly labeled and even subject to unjustified 'code orange' situations.

The Hampton VA Medical Center, under the current administration, has lost sight of its purpose – to provide the utmost care and respect to our veterans. We demand immediate action, specifically the termination of Walt C. Dannenberg, Acting Executive Director, and Michael W. Harper, Associate Director for Operations.
