Tucker Carlson has called the violent, armed, January 6th insurrectionists who broke into a federal building including private offices where items were stolen and fecal matter were left "sightseers". "Within 36 hours, five people died: one was shot by Capitol Police, another died of a drug overdose, and three died of natural causes, including a police officer. Many people were injured, including 174 police officers. Four officers who responded to the attack died by suicide within seven months" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/January_6_United_States_Capitol_attack#:~:text=Within%2036%20hours%2C%20five%20people,by%20suicide%20within%20seven%20months
Hershey Entertainment and Resorts is inviting these "sightseers" to come into our community for the purpose of riling up vitriol. There's been NO mention of extra security, extra police, absolutely nothing mentioned as to how we are going to be protected from these repeatedly violent individuals who enjoy being armed to the teeth. Once again there is no mention of who will be paying for the extra security IF we are getting it. There's already multiple accounts of razor blades, fully loaded magazines, pocket knives, etc making into the park by patrons according to a Hershey Park discussion page. So who knows what all will make it into Hershey Entertainment and Resorts entities during this show.
Local long time business owners are concerned, residents are appalled, employees are uneasy to put it mildly. What other show has this happened for??? Hershey Entertainment and Resorts needs to understand that this isn't just another show to host. That this show comes with heavy baggage, significant legal liability, and a stain on their legacy. This show is designed to draw emotionally unregulated, amped up ignoramuses with an addiction to anger and a disdain for rules and Hershey Entertainment and Resorts apparently couldn't care less....now. They may feel differently once they're in a legally precarious position. They still have time to exhibit some foresight and avoid this mess. It's not a matter of IF someone will be harmed from this event, it's WHO and HOW MANY.
