Hopefully a positive decision can be made soon
A really hope a decision can be made soon to keep both the crossing and underpass, since this would be the fairest outcome for both parties. I myself have just walked the long detour to the coate water underpass. I get very anxious crossing busy roads especially dual carriageways since I am on the spectrum. That’s why even though it was around 9 Celsius and I wasn’t expecting it to be that cold, I did the walk. Unfortunately I had a panic attack just before using the underpass by coate water, as my body was so stiff and cold from the long detour and dressed in jogging clothes. I honestly felt I was catching frostbite or even hypothermia. But since I’m used to going on walks in relative cool temperatures (around 14 Celsius) I didn’t think much of it. Usually of wouldn’ thave done this long walk to town in the first place. I even walked to coate water a week ago and I was fine. So I must say it’s on the council to finish the toucan crossing and hopefully keep the underpass going up to lawns for the benefit of the wider community.
