Please bring back Eduardo Sanchez!
Eduardo Sanchez has been living in the United States since he was a minor back in the year 2000.
He married his wife and raised his family here. After working to make him and his family a better life for 17 years, fear grew as former President Trump and his administration arrested more than 1600 undocumented immigrants with NO criminal record in just a three month period.
Eduardo was one of them.
After being treated like a criminal (remember he came here as a minor?) and having a monitor attached to his ankle, Eduardo was required to check-in with Immigration officials about his case frequently for the next 5 years.
After applying for cancellation of removal, Eduardo was denied. Three times.
Not only were his family members relying on him, Eduardo also had health issues and risked being killed or hunted by the cartel in his hometown in Mexico.
Much to his surprise, on July 11, during a regular check-in, he was taken into custody and immediately deported. When he became aware of the situation, he was not even able to speak to his lawyer.
Now that he is not on U.S soil, he cannot reopen his case to apply for asylum.
Eduardo has a 2 year old at home, an 18 year old son and a wife. He was the breadwinner of the family and he was taken away like that. With only $20 in his pocket, Eduardo is now on his own, separated from his loved ones and a country he has lived in for 22 years!!
Please allow him to re-enter the United States and be reunited with his family. He has no criminal record and deserves the right to become a citizen. Please re-open his case to seek asylum!
