Fellow retirees and friends, a NJ retired teacher has taken the initiative to start a public Facebook page, for the reinstatement of our cost of living adjustment, COLA, for all the pension systems in New Jersey. Mary Ann’s advocacy work has been featured in many newspaper articles. I give her props for starting this new page for all retirees. With elections coming up and everyone up for reelection, it’s important to get involved and know who stands besides us to reinstate COLA. Write your legislators, goto events and question their stance in public, and be proactive!

She is also looking for admins to help her run her page. It would be great to get a admin representative from each of the pension systems. If you are familiar with running a page, please contact Mary Ann Macdonald on Facebook.

Finally, with 50% of the Senate and 30% of the Assembly now sponsoring S260, please continue to share this petition, as it gets email to almost all the NJ politicians for every 5,000 signatures. The bill is not moving as they are not hearing it enough from our retirees and also due to the super inflated cost analysis, which is $2billion too high! There are 350,000 NJ retirees and we don’t even have 10% of the signatures yet! Family and friends can sign this petition as well! Let’s Go!
