Senator Turner, who is the primary sponsor of bill S260 to automatically reinstate COLA, has turned her back on us. She still doesn’t want to listen about the Pension Adjustment Act for COLA. She believes her bill will not pass, which almost has 50% of Senate and 25% of the Assembly as sponsors. This number of cosponsors is incredible!

Regardless, she turned her back on us and sponsored a bill S2586 for a one time $300 payment to all NJ Retirees. Don’t forget to take Federal taxes out! She then sponsors another bill, S2588, to fund the pension system by $1 billion dollars. She believes this will help COLA come back sooner, due to funding levels. Once again she ignores the Pension Adjustment Act and the fact that COLA has nothing to do with the funding levels! The PAA is mentioned in her original bill S260!  Oh and by the way Steve Sweeney is backing her with these bills to help his name for his run at Governor. Complete garbage!
