Ontario announces continued masking requirement on public transit

Ontario has joined the growing number of states and provinces that are continuing to require masks or face coverings on public transit vehicles for a longer period of time, recognizing that transit is a higher-risk setting and that not masking up could result in a resurgence of COVID cases.
This is a move that has almost certainly bolstered the case to continue the province-wide mask requirements on transit here in B.C, whether or not there will be requirements in other public places.
Any further outreach you can do on this issue, beyond signing this petition, would be greatly appreciated. I've now heard from a few fellow supporters who have contacted MLAs directly to apply more pressure.
Today I had the opportunity to sit down with some reporters and talk about the petition and the need to be heard on this issue. I am hopeful that when announcements on COVID measures and masking are made tomorrow, public health leaders will consider those of us who ride transit and ride-share vehicles on a regular basis.
