THANKS all who have helped support this petition so far. 3000 signatures already, and so many valuable comments, in just two days! This will surely get the attention needed. We will now bring this petition to the direct attention of RBG, Kew’s science trustees, Prof. Ian Graham (chair), Sir Paul Nurse and Prof Chris Gilligan (Royal trustee), and also to Lord Benyon, Minister of State for DEFRA (Kew’s UK Govt. Dept) and Jim McMahon, shadow DEFRA Minister. Ultimately these people will finally decide whether the Kew herbarium is moved from Kew or not (Science Trustees) and if so, whether this move and the new off sited building should be taxpayer funded (DEFRA).

Please help further if you can, by sharing the link to this petition to others who might support it and increase the numbers to an un-ignorable level. We feel we do not need further donations, appreciated though those are. We look forward to updating you with developments in future.

For those who have not been in the Kew Herbarium and want to have an idea of what it looks like and what it does, see this short video narrated by Mark Chase: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DwtPYkOQEsk
