The Keep Keewatin Home team were delighted when they offered to do this with us. There is a deep historical connection between Town Criers and the spreading of important news and events. For centuries they were one of the only means of keeping the public informed - especially among those who could not read or write.

The Criers in the video are all members of the Ontario Guild of Town Criers - from North to Bracebridge, East to Ottawa, and South-West to Petrolia, and everywhere in-between - and came forward to participate in a group cry.
