Keep the Heritage Harbour Baseball League at the Heritage Harbour fields

The Issue

For the past 18 years, children in our community have learned the game of baseball on the fields at Heritage Harbour. They have learned many core values such as sportsmanship, integrity, and respect.

The Heritage Harbour/Manatee Cal Ripken Babe Ruth Baseball league has been an integral part of our community. Children in our program have moved on to play high school, college, and professionally. Others have gone into the workforce serving our community as firefighters, EMTs, engineers and more. Everyone has volunteered their time to coach, maintain the fields, and do whatever is needed so that the kids in our community can have a great experience. These fields are more than just a place to play; they are where memories are made and lifelong friendships are formed. They are where so many of our children have learned to love the game, and where their family and friends love to cheer them on.

Moving this league would disrupt the lives of hundreds of families who rely on these fields for their children’s athletic development and social growth. The children deserve to have the sense of community and belonging that the league at Heritage Harbour provides.

There are not enough baseball fields in our general area to support the number of children who want to play baseball. Our kids may be put on waitlists, may not get equal playing time, or worse yet…be unable to play at all.

If you believe a child in our community should be able to play a sport that they love, at fields that we have been told will remain empty, please consider signing this. The Heritage Harbour HOA Masters/CDD has demanded provisions and compensation that are not feasible for our 501(c)(3) league to meet. The children NEED your support!

If you are a member of the neighborhood, please let us know.
