Petition to Keep Swainson's Hawk Protections Has Fledged

We have a long way to go but our petition opposing the delisting of Swainson's Hawks has fledged, with more than 550 signatures, thanks to you.  You received an email from Change.org yesterday with an update on how you can grow the petition.  Thanks to all those who responded.  Please pitch in.

Signers have donated hundreds of dollars to Change.org to promote this petition.  So the platform is on it. And we are grateful for those donations.  The platform can help but your friends and family are our best allies -- reach out.  Reach out to birding group friends and nature lovers,  and beyond.  Because you are spreading the word that our most rare and precious wildlife are coming under attack. Vigilance!

Scientists are and will be evaluating the California Building Industry petition to delist with a sharp eye.  We are already hearing critiques about its veracity.  Science is important in this battle, but public awareness keeps the process honest.  So let's grow our audience for this issue and keep our eyes on it.  You are the light shining on the decision making process.
