Petition updateKeep Spanish on the AS and A level curriculum at Hind Leys College

No news from Hind Leys but Post 16s protest!

Another week has gone by with no word from Mr Parrott about what is happening with Spanish. We are now half way through our GCSEs but are still spending OUR time trying to sort out what we are doing in readiness for next year! None of this is our fault! This week, nine students who still want to study Spanish at AS level signed a letter and gave it to Mr Parrott in the hope that he will actually reply and sort it out once and for all! Why is it taking so long for him to come to a decision and make arrangements? The Local Authority has asked him to sort it, Nicky Morgan has asked him to sort it, the students have asked him to sort it. The Post-16 students staged passive protest today, wearing Spanish stickers to the Year 13 leavers lunch and assembly in support of all of the students affected by this. It was brilliant! We have now finished for half term and then will be on exam leave, and we still do not know what our options are! Our Post 16 induction is on 23rd June. What a joke. This is all so unfair and getting worse the longer it carries on. We have appealed again to the school, the governors, Nicky Morgan and Leicestershire County Council. We hope someone will help! ‪#‎SAVESPANISH‬
