Dear Holy Family Catholic School community,

As members of the Holy Family Catholic School community, we are deeply concerned about the recent news that Sister Dorothy will be replaced as principal. We believe that Sister Dorothy has been an exceptional leader and advocate for our school, and we urge the diocese and the individuals involved with making this decision for her to reconsider and allow her to remain a figure at our school. 

Sister Dorothy has been a dedicated member of our catholic faith community for over 25 years. During her role as principal, she has led numerous initiatives to improve academic outcomes and foster a strong sense of faith and community among students, parents, and faculty. Under her leadership, Holy Family Catholic School has become a place for students and families to grow in faith.

In addition to her outstanding leadership skills, Sister Dorothy is also deeply committed to our school's mission of providing a high-quality Catholic education to all students. She works tirelessly to ensure that every student feels valued and supported in their academic journey.

We believe that replacing Sister Dorothy would be a mistake for several reasons:

1) Disrupting the continuity of leadership could have negative consequences on student achievement and morale.

2) The process by which this decision was made lacks transparency and accountability.

3) There is no evidence or justification provided for why this change was made without a replacement being provided, Sister would NEVER abandon the children without ensuring they were in the most loving hands possible.

We urge those who came to this decision to reconsider and keep Sister Dorothy at Holy Family Catholic School in some capacity. Our school deserves nothing less than exceptional leadership from someone who truly embodies its values and mission, and that is Sister Dorothy. After 27 years of dedicating her life to our children, nurturing them, never forgetting previous students, being involved with EVERY aspect of this school, she deserves so much more than this.
