Councillors Reject Draft Short Stay Law in Cottesloe

Last night Town of Cottesloe councillors unanimously rejected the Draft Short Stay Law as presented by council administrators and have formed their own Short Stay Working Committee to redraft the law with expert legal support and will concurrently work to amend the Town Planning Scheme to allow Short Stay in the Residential Zone. In all it is expected to take a further 18 months to 2 years for this process to be completed with plenty of opportunity for community input along the way. Very frustrating on one hand but good that we are now on the right track! So its business as usual under the radar for the time being.
