Thank you to everyone who has signed our petition protesting the misuse of a Conservation Overlay District (COD) rezoning request for the Jolly property North of Highway 280 in Auburn AL. Please continue forwarding this petition to other Auburn residents who may be concerned with city zoning and development issues – you do not need to live in North Auburn to sign this petition!  Several City Council members have publicly stated their opposition to the rezoning request. We are seeking to demonstrate even stronger community opposition to help sway members who are still be undecided.

Some important updates and actions:

1.        ATTEND City Council Meeting on 17 December! Auburn City Council meets at 6p on Tuesday, 17th December at 161 N. Ross Street in Auburn to vote on this rezoning request, RZ-2024-014. The Public will be able to comment. A large turnout of concerned citizens will help, whether or not you choose to speak.

2.        EMAIL City Council!  We encourage all voting age members of your household to email the City Council with their opposition to the proposed conservation overlay for the Jolly Lot:  coagbemail@auburnalabama.org. One sentence saying you oppose is fine; longer letters detailing your concerns are also great.

3.        KEEP SIGNING AND SHARING This Petition! Please encourage every voting age member of your Auburn household to sign this petition. Please invite others Auburn residents to sign.
