The Boston Globe just put out an article stating Mayor Smiley is planning on rolling back some of his proposed changes to PVDFest and this is EXACTLY why we are signing this petition!

According to the article, Mayor Smiley is reconsidering not allowing open containers or block parties, stating that this may be allowed to happen, however the date and venue change are locked in.

I believe this is the beginning of change for us!

If we can win the battle of block parties, we can win the battle against small businesses, and that is HUGE!

If that is to happen, the focus will then turn to making sure PVDFest comes back to the heart of the city for next year, and from there, we focus on getting it back to the summer. One step at a time, we can make these changes so long as we continue to make our voices heard!
