Hello Polk supporters!

Already in 2026, members of People for Polk have been active, pushing our shared values and needs for connectivity in the East End. Just this week, we've had a productive sit down with brand-new councilmember Alejandra Salinas as well as senior members of Mayor Whitmire's staff. And we're just getting ramped up for the new year. 

One big goal for January: let's get our Change.org petition over 1,000 signatures. We're SO CLOSE! (912, at the moment). Can you help us get there? Please share this petition with all of your friends and family. And if you can, please consider contributing some money to promote the petition, which you can do through the Change.org website.

Every dollar contributed that way has two benefits: first, the website works harder to share the petition with likely supporters, and we get more and more signers. Second, we can tally up the total amount contributed as another sign of the strong support for keeping Polk open
