Yes, Polk is closed. And a lot of people are finding out just how bad that is going to be for them today. 

But here's the good news: City Council still needs to vote to finalize the closure. That means: if we can show them that Houston is united against this closure, they can still vote to keep Polk open. 

If you can, please leave a comment on the petition, letting everybody know how this will effect you. We will take those and read them at City Council. On the main petition page, click "take the next step," and skip through donations and sharing until you get to the "add your voice" screen. A video message would be amazing, but a written comment is great too.
