SNO Stop Napa Oaks
Nov 17, 2017
Davidon Homes has released the Final Environmental Impact Report. They now have plans to reduce the hillside development from 53 homes to 51 homes and create a whopping 1/2 acre public park. OR they are proposing building 70 homes - 44 of which would be single level and a size of 1996 sq. ft. They are trying to make the hillside development more appealing by being more "affordable." They also are adding a proposal to put a roundabout at the bottom of Old Sonoma Road for ingress/egress to the entrance of the property where drivers coming flying down the steep hill! They still plan to remove over 500 mature Oak trees. All this with NO Significant Impact?? We must stand firm and not let this developer be the first to get zoning changed from Resource Area to Single Family Home status in order to build these homes - no matter the size, no matter the number!
Those locally, please put out your Stop Napa Oaks signs. Also, mark your calendars for Thursday, December 7, 9am. The Napa City Planning Commission is set to vote as a recommendation to the City Council their ruling on the project. It is the City Council who will decide the fate of this project. That meeting will happen sometime in January or February of next year.
