If you are local and want to help fight this TERRIBLE hillside subdivision, here's what you can do: 1. Write a letter to the Napa City Planning Department about why you oppose this hillside development. The Planning Department contact is Mike Allen. His email is mallen@cityofnapa.org All written comments will be given to the Planning Commission for review. The cutoff date is June 10th. Your written comments matter! 2. Write a Letter to the Editor of the Napa Valley Register. Make it personal and factual. Here's the link: http://napavalleyregister.com/app/pages/vn/opinion/ 3. Attend City Council Meetings. There will be time allotted for Open Comments. We need as many people as possible to come to these meetings. Even if it means just holding our Yard Sign. The next scheduled meetings, all on Tuesdays at 6pm are: June 7 & 21 July 19, August 2 & 16, September 6 & 30. More will be posted about these meetings ahead of time. 4. Buy a Yard Sign for $10 available at 251 Casswall Street. Better yet, buy 10 for $100. It's a big bang for the buck. We need them all over town, not just in our surrounding neighborhood. The Yard Signs will be available 7 days a week, starting the first week of June. A re-order was just placed today. 5. Farmers Market Free Speech Area located at the Century Napa Valley Movie Theater area - we will be setting up a table on Tuesdays and Saturdays. More will be posted on exact dates for this activity. 6. Join our Meetup group: http://www.meetup.com/Stop-Napa-Oaks-Subdivision/ 7. Door-door petition. Post here if you would like to gather signatures opposing Napa Oaks. It's very rewarding and people are so thankful that someone is coming to their door to inform and enlist them in this very worthy cause. These names will be given to the City Council along with our online petition signers. Non-local people can write a Letter to the Editor and to the Napa Planning Department.
