Keep Our Bus Service 21
Keep Our Bus Service 21
The Issue
The Linton Bus Service is an essential lifeline for our local community.
Many residents rely on this bus to access essential services and travel to places they simply cannot reach easily without public transport. Linton does not have any large supermarkets or major shops, meaning residents need the bus to travel further afield for their weekly grocery shopping and other essentials.
Elderly residents and those who do not drive rely on the service to attend doctors’ appointments, hospital appointments and other important commitments. Young people also depend on the bus to get to school, college and other educational opportunities.
This is not simply a bus route — it is a vital service that connects our community and helps people maintain their independence. Removing or reducing the service would have a significant impact on elderly people, young people, families and those without access to a car.
We are asking for the voices of local residents who depend on this service to be heard and for the importance of keeping this vital connection to our community to be recognised.
