We are still no further on in our battle to keep Mullingar Diabetes Unit open. In fact the temporary solution the management has appeared to put in place is in fact going to make a big problem even worse. Their idea of taking one nurse from a two person team and leaving the children of the paediatric unit in Portlaoise in the same position we are now in. 

Not only are they putting children in danger they are putting two more staff members under the same pressure the lead nurse was under in Mullingar. We need to keep this issue in the media and keep the pressure on the HSE to rectify this horrific situation we are currently in.
