I can speak for myself and my peers when I say everyone talks about making a difference, especially in the education system. In honesty, it starts with the educators. Safe environments for safe conversations provided by safe teachers are what provide classrooms with the sense of community and engagement that schools want. We, the students, urge the Administration, even in the midst of JAG funding being cut, to KEEP Mrs. Smous at Laville and keep changing kids' lives every day.

Her dedication goes beyond the classroom as she continuously works to instill values and inspire us to reach our fullest potential. Her presence has not only impacted our academic achievements but also our personal development. Her ability to connect with students and understand their individual needs makes her a priceless asset to Laville School. 

JAG funding is an essential aspect of our educational community, but it should not come at the expense of losing passionate and effective educators like Mrs. Smous. Maintaining her position ensures that we preserve ATLEAST some area where students feel safe, engaged, and motivated to learn.
