In just a few days, nearly 300 people have signed the petition to Keep Mesa County Public Lands in Public Hands. That’s incredible — and it shows just how many of us care deeply about protecting the places we explore, hunt, graze, ride, and pass down through generations.
But we don’t have time to slow down. If we want this issue to make it onto the County Commissioners’ agenda, we need to keep up the pressure and push this over the finish line.
Here’s how you can help today:
✅ Share the petition to your Facebook — just one post can bring in dozens of new signatures
✅ Post it in Mesa County community groups you’re part of — especially ones where land, access, or rural issues are discussed
✅ Tag a friend or neighbor who cares about public lands and ask them to sign and share too

Every voice counts. Every share matters. And every day we delay makes it easier for this issue to be pushed aside. Let’s make sure Mesa County leaders hear us loud and clear: Public lands belong to the people — not developers, not corporations, and not politicians behind closed doors.
Thank you again for standing up. Let’s keep the momentum rolling.
With gratitude,
